## Quick verdict

Aave V3 exposes rates, available liquidity and collateral limits before a wallet is connected. Supply APY is not borrowing cost, and total reserves are not the same as available liquidity.

- Our direct screen check covers Core V3 USDC. Personal transactions, signing and security were not tested; V4 and E-Mode need their own parameter checks.

We inspected Aave V3 Core without connecting a wallet. Real USDC reserve screens separate rates, liquidity and collateral limits, with clear boundaries around what was not tested.

The first question in an [Aave](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/aave) review comes before the yield: which network, pool and risk settings are being shown? Large market totals provide context, but the limits affecting a decision sit in the reserve details. We followed the market list into USDC and examined why the same page means different things to a supplier and a borrower.

**Review scope:** Ethereum Core V3 on app.aave.com, inspected September 26, 2026. We did not connect a wallet, deposit funds, borrow or conduct a security test. Images show the real pages we accessed. Aave Pro’s V4 interface is separate; this review covers V3 fields. Recorded rates are observations, not transaction quotes.

## Choose the market before interpreting the headline totals

The opening page offers market and network selection, supply and borrowing totals, and an asset list. The same token symbol can appear on different networks, so the symbol alone is an unreliable guide. We kept Core V3 and Ethereum selected before opening the USDC reserve. Checking a token’s contract address together with its network helps avoid confusing similarly named assets.

The V3/V4 distinction is more than a visual change. The official [Aave Pro guide](https://aave.com/blog/aave-pro-user-guide) covers the V4 interface separately. Check the protocol version before expecting a field from an older screenshot to carry exactly the same meaning.

## Supply rates, borrowing rates and available liquidity

![Supply rate, available liquidity and wallet connection fields in Aave V3 USDC reserve](https://kriptometa.com/uploads/aave-incelemesi-arz-borc-ve-risk-ekranlari-ne-anlatiyor-8102_article.webp)The USDC reserve header showed approximately $2.39 billion in reserve size, $187.85 million in available liquidity and 92.13% utilization. Supply APY was 3.64%; the borrowing section displayed 4.41%. The interface changes over time. Our images preserve a fixed observation.

Fields that should not be confused in USDC Core V3
| Field | Observation | Practical meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Supply APY | 3.64% | Annualized supplier rate, not a fixed-return promise |
| Borrow APY | 4.41% | Annualized cost on the borrowing side |
| Available liquidity | $187.85 million | An indicator of liquidity not lent out in the reserve |
| Utilization | 92.13% | The share of supplied assets being borrowed |
| Supply / borrow cap usage | 79.60% / 81.49% | Proximity to configured capacity limits, not utilization |

Mistaking the supply rate for the borrowing cost may be the most expensive reading error in that table. Another is treating the total reserve as immediately withdrawable money. Aave’s [withdrawal conditions](https://aave.com/help/supplying/withdraw-tokens) involve pool liquidity and, where relevant, collateral supporting existing debt. A large total does not establish an unconditional personal exit.

## Where the collateral limits appear

![USDC standard collateral limits and borrowing rate:75%max LTV and78%liquidation threshold](https://kriptometa.com/uploads/aave-incelemesi-arz-borc-ve-risk-ekranlari-ne-anlatiyor-0874_article.webp)The standard USDC collateral panel showed **75% maximum LTV, a 78% liquidation threshold and a 4.5% liquidation penalty**. E-Mode categories appeared separately below. Those standard values should not be copied into a selected E-Mode position or another reserve.

For a simplified $1,000 collateral example, 75% LTV means a $750 initial borrowing limit before other constraints. The 78% threshold weights that collateral in the health factor calculation. The $30 difference is not additional spending power or a safe loss budget: prices, interest and the rest of the position affect the outcome.

The interface’s strength is placing rates and risk parameters on the same reserve page. Its limitation for newcomers is that APY, cap usage and collateral limits can all look like interchangeable percentages. The numbers are visible; their implications still require interpretation.

## What we could not verify without a connected wallet

The personal-information panel requested a wallet connection. We did not test account-specific borrowing capacity, the approval request, network fees or the estimated position after signing. A screen inspection does not establish that we deposited funds, successfully withdrew them or avoided liquidation.

An [Ethereum gas estimate](https://kriptometa.com/en/tools/gas-fee-calculator) can help compare network conditions while preparing a transaction. The personal confirmation screen still determines the fee for the transaction type and current conditions; a general estimate is not the full cost of borrowing.

The official [supply flow](https://aave.com/help/supplying/supply-tokens) and [borrowing flow](https://aave.com/help/borrowing/borrow-tokens) are different operations. A documented step is not presented here as an action we personally completed. A real quote must be checked against the connected account and the state at execution.

## Can Aave replace a wallet or an analytics dashboard?

Aave provides lending-pool parameters and transaction workflows. [MetaMask](https://kriptometa.com/en/metamask-review) manages the account connection and signing; it is not itself the lending protocol. [DeFiLlama](https://kriptometa.com/en/defillama-review) helps compare data across protocols, but it does not replace the confirmation screen for a personal Aave position.

Researching the broader market, opening the correct Aave reserve and checking the wallet request are complementary tasks. Seeing a similar figure in three places does not amount to three independent safety checks. The scope, source and timestamp may differ.

## Who benefits, and where the interface falls short

Someone who already understands liquidity supply or collateralized borrowing can inspect reserve rates and limits before connecting a wallet. A person seeking a fixed return or unwilling to monitor debt needs more than a few APY figures. Readable screens do not remove liquidity, contract or asset risks.

Our assessment: the V3 reserve page is useful for decision inputs, but less effective at teaching the meaning of every percentage. For a first visit, read the network and version, the correct side of the interest quote, available liquidity and collateral limits in that order. Use the [collateral guide](https://kriptometa.com/en/defi-collateral-liquidation-monitoring) for monitoring calculations and the [separate analysis](https://kriptometa.com/en/aave-analysis) for AAVE’s economic role.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the Aave interest rate fixed?

Displayed APY is an annualized rate that can change with supply and borrowing conditions. The review records September 26, 2026 observations, not a current quote or a guaranteed return.

### Can I see my borrowing limit without connecting a wallet?

General reserve constraints are visible. Personal capacity depends on account collateral, debt, selected mode and eligible assets. It was not verified in our disconnected session.

### Is supply cap usage the same as utilization?

No. Cap usage measures proximity to a configured capacity limit. Utilization concerns how much of the supplied pool is borrowed. They answer different questions.

### Can supplied funds always be withdrawn from Aave?

Withdrawal depends on the relevant pool’s liquidity and any collateral requirements of the position. High total supply does not guarantee immediate withdrawal of a personal amount in every situation.

### Does this review establish that Aave is safe?

No. Interface inspection is not a security audit. Contract, asset, oracle, network and collateral risks remain. We did not sign or transact with funds and cannot claim guaranteed execution.
