## Key takeaways

- Origins Season 19 began on September 30 with an 80,000 bAXS pool for the top 2,000 players.
- bAXS cannot move between accounts; converting it to AXS incurs a Treasury fee linked to Axie Score.
- Collectible Chests require a Tiger finish or higher and ownership of a qualifying Axie throughout the Rare Era.

Axie Infinity Origins has launched its new season with competitive integrity checks tied to reward distribution. The contest runs until November 25, with token restrictions and conversion fees shaping what players can do with their winnings.

Axie Infinity Origins launched Season 19 on September 30 with an 80,000 bAXS prize pool for the top 2,000 players. [Axie’s official announcement](https://blog.axieinfinity.com/p/origins-s19-is-live) sets November 25 as the season’s end. The Elite 4 format carries over from the previous season, while new competitive integrity checks will determine when rewards can be released.

For [blockchain gaming](https://kriptometa.com/en/news/gamefi), the terms attached to the reward matter as much as the headline pool. This is the third season to distribute rewards in bAXS, a token with different transfer rules from the freely transferable AXS asset.

## bAXS rewards are not freely transferable AXS

Bonded AXS, or bAXS, is a utility token backed one-to-one by AXS that cannot be transferred between accounts. Players can use it for breeding, ascending, evolving and staking. Converting it to AXS, however, incurs a Treasury fee scaled to the player’s Axie Score.

[Axie Score](https://support.axieinfinity.com/hc/en-us/articles/37740765481499-Axie-Score) is broader than a season’s leaderboard position. Its badges reflect game performance, Treasury contributions, community contributions and Axie NFT holdings. The announcement says players with stronger reputations receive lower conversion fees, but does not provide a single S19 rate applicable to everyone.

**An 80,000 bAXS pool is not a direct 80,000 AXS payout.** Rewards are denominated in bAXS. Using them within the game and converting them to transferable AXS are different actions; a net reward value cannot be calculated without accounting for the conversion fee.

## 20,000 bAXS in the Rare Era, with separate chest rules

The opening Rare Era accounts for 20,000 bAXS of the season’s 80,000 pool. The official schedule lists the following dates:

Origins Season 19 schedule, 2026
| Stage | Start / end date |
|---|---|
| Rare Era | September 30 |
| Epic Era | October 14 |
| Mystic Era | October 28 |
| Final Era | November 11 |
| Season ends | November 25 |

A separate Collectible Chest pool is described at 10,000 bAXS. Finishing the Rare Era at Tiger rank or above is only one condition: players must also hold a qualifying Collectible Axie throughout the entire era. Chests contain Tickets that can be redeemed for a share of the pool.

The rules illustrate [the difference between GameFi rewards and cash income](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/gamefi). Leaderboard performance, the holding requirement and conversion costs all affect what a player ultimately receives.

## Payouts will wait for integrity checks

Checks will take place during the season, rather than only at its conclusion. The team’s announcement states:

> “Era rewards will be held until each check is complete”

Multi-accounting and leaderboard manipulation will lead to permanent bans from Origins. No fixed review period is specified, so an era’s closing date should not be treated as a guaranteed payout date.

In-game utility keeps rewards tied to the Axie economy, but the size of a season’s pool does not by itself establish player demand or game revenue. Our [analysis comparing player spending with token rewards](https://kriptometa.com/en/gamefi-analysis) examines why those two flows need to be considered separately.
