## Key takeaways

- ETH withdrawals reopened on September 29 across Ethereum, BSC, Arbitrum One, Base and Optimism.
- Bitget reported about 9,674 ETH in inflows and 9,023 ETH in outflows as of 09:00 UTC; these are amounts, not transaction counts.
- USDT remains scheduled for September 30. BTC withdrawals on BSC were separately paused for maintenance on September 29.

Ethereum is the next completed stage in Bitget’s withdrawal restart. The exchange has released ETH flow figures, while a separate maintenance notice shows why availability must be checked for each asset and network.

Bitget reopened ETH withdrawals on September 29 at 08:00 UTC after suspending them following its September 24 security incident. The [official reopening notice](https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/12560603896190) covers five networks: Ethereum, BSC, Arbitrum One, Base and Optimism. USDT and the remaining services have yet to reach the same stage.

In a [September 29 update](https://x.com/bitget/status/2104884112549191939), the exchange reported approximately 9,674 ETH in inflows and 9,023 ETH in outflows as of 09:00 UTC. These are amounts of ETH moved, not transaction counts; their dollar value varies with the [ETH price](https://kriptometa.com/en/markets/ethereum). The post does not break the figures down by network, so they cannot be assigned to a particular chain or treated as a measure of customer confidence.

## ETH is open; USDT remains on the schedule

Bitget’s [phased reopening plan published on September 26](https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/12560603896110) sets different dates for individual assets. The ETH stage has now taken place; the remaining dates are the company’s announced schedule, rather than completed reopenings.

Bitget withdrawal schedule: completed and planned stages as of September 29
| Asset or service | Date and time (UTC) | Status |
|---|---|---|
| ETH: Ethereum, BSC, Arbitrum One, Base, Optimism | September 29, 08:00 | Reopened |
| USDT: Ethereum, BSC, Solana, Tron | September 30, 08:00 | Planned |
| Other supported tokens, fiat and P2P | October 2, 08:00 | Planned |

The exchange says users do not need to take additional steps ahead of the rollout and that availability will be shown directly on its platform. The published schedule does not give particular account tiers priority. Its written announcement states:

> “The same approach applies consistently across users without preference.”

## BTC on BSC faces a separate maintenance pause

BTC withdrawals on the Bitcoin network [reopened on September 28](https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/12560603896188). However, a [separate September 29 maintenance notice](https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/12560603896197) suspended BTC withdrawals on BSC from 03:15 UTC. Bitget said a reopening date would be announced separately.

**Check the asset and the network together.** ETH being available for withdrawal over BSC does not mean BTC withdrawals on the same network are also open. The BSC maintenance notice does not announce a suspension of withdrawals on the Bitcoin network.

A coin name or a general “withdrawals reopened” headline therefore does not describe every available route. The same [network and address checks for a crypto transfer](https://kriptometa.com/en/how-to-transfer-cryptocurrency) apply here: the asset, selected network and receiving platform’s supported network need to match; current service availability should be checked on the transaction screen.

## Investigation into the $388 million incident continues

Bitget’s [incident account updated on September 29](https://www.bitget.com/academy/bitget-security-incident-what-happened-timeline-impact-response) attributes an estimated $388 million impact to the September 24 attack. It does not describe a fresh breach or additional losses after withdrawals reopened.

According to the company’s preliminary findings, the attacker exploited a third-party security product vulnerability to obtain internal credentials and send fraudulent withdrawal instructions. Bitget says cold wallets were unaffected and [private-key](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/private-key) compromise has been ruled out, while Mandiant and SlowMist continue their investigation and fund tracing. Restoring a service does not mean the forensic investigation or asset-recovery work has finished.

Fund tracing had already prompted [Bitget’s request for THORChain to block attacker addresses](https://kriptometa.com/en/bitget-thorchain-attacker-address-dispute). Today’s development concerns which assets users can withdraw, and over which networks. Updates affecting other platforms appear in our [crypto exchange news](https://kriptometa.com/en/news/exchanges) coverage.
