## Key takeaways

- BR trading is scheduled for 10:00 UTC and POD for 11:00 UTC on October 6, subject to liquidity.
- BR deposits use BNB Smart Chain; POD deposits use Base.
- Buy orders are restricted for five minutes, with limit orders only for roughly two hours.

Bedrock and Dolphin tokens will have separate trading launches. Bithumb will restrict orders during the opening period and support a different deposit network for each asset.

Bithumb announced plans to add Bedrock (BR) and Dolphin (POD) to its South Korean won market on October 6. Trading is scheduled to begin at 10:00 UTC for BR and 11:00 UTC for POD, equivalent to 19:00 and 20:00 in South Korea. The pairs will let users trade the tokens directly against won on the exchange.

The exchange’s [official notice](https://feed.bithumb.com/notice/1655191) says deposits and withdrawals will open within two hours of its publication. The trading launches remain subject to [liquidity](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/liquidity) conditions. Publishing the announcement therefore does not mean both markets are already accepting trades.

## Separate times and networks

Bithumb will support BNB Smart Chain for BR deposits and Base for POD. It explicitly excludes deposits over other networks for these assets. A token’s availability on several chains does not make every version compatible with the exchange’s deposit address.

Bithumb’s October 6 BR/POD launch schedule
| Asset | Scheduled start, October 6 | Supported network | Reference price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bedrock (BR) | 10:00 UTC / 19:00 KST | BNB Smart Chain | 590 won |
| Dolphin (POD) | 11:00 UTC / 20:00 KST | Base | 1,086 won |

**A reference price is not an executed trade.** Bithumb says its chart will initially show the reference value on the listing day, rather than the first matched trade’s price. The amounts in the table are not live market quotes.

The projects also serve different purposes. [Bedrock DAO’s documentation](https://docs.bedrockdao.com/) describes BR as a token used for governance, staking and incentives. Bedrock’s liquid restaking infrastructure supports [staking](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/staking) and restaking across different assets. The new won pair expands access to the token through a trading market; it does not change those protocol functions.

[Dolphin’s website](https://dphn.ai/) focuses on AI models and a distributed inference network. Inference is the process through which a trained model generates a response to a user request. Bithumb describes POD as a utility token for service payments, staking and node rewards.

## Temporary restrictions at the open

Buy orders will be restricted for the first five minutes after trading starts. During that period, sell orders at least 10% below or at least 100% above the reference price will also be restricted. For approximately the first two hours, the exchange will allow [limit orders](https://kriptometa.com/en/how-to-buy-cryptocurrency) only. A limit order sets the price boundary a user will accept; it does not guarantee a match.

Bithumb also applies a supported-provider policy to deposits and withdrawals. Its notice warns that transfers from exchanges outside its supported list may not be credited and that returning those funds could take time. Adding the pairs does not open transfers from every outside platform.

The notice specifies 15 network confirmations for BR and 200 for POD. These figures describe the confirmation requirement for deposits, rather than a guaranteed processing time in minutes. At the time of writing, the exchange retained its warning that trading could be delayed depending on available liquidity.
