Authorities froze 367 bank and crypto asset accounts in an investigation into Turkish [crypto exchange](https://kriptometa.com/en/best-crypto-exchanges) Magician Of Meta. The Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command said the company had been transferred to Turkey’s Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), according to its [written statement reproduced by ANKA](https://ankahaber.net/haber/istanbul-merkezli-5-ilde-kripto-platformuna-operasyon-19-supheli-hakkinda-islem-baslatildi-sirket-tmsf-ye-devredildi-24f38434). The November 3, 2026 operation targeted 19 suspects across five provinces.

The case is being handled by the terrorism financing and money laundering bureau at the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Prosecutors identified the company as Magician Of Meta Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu AŞ and its website as aeronx.com. Investigators believe a large share of the money entering the company’s accounts was connected to illegal betting and aggravated fraud. The case remains under investigation.

## Twelve detained in an operation targeting 19 suspects

[DHA’s report carried by T24](https://t24.com.tr/gundem/yasa-disi-bahis-paralarini-kriptoya-cevirmisler-magician-of-meta-kripto-varlik-operasyonunda-43-milyarlik-para-trafigi-367-hesaba-bloke,1356766) says 12 people were detained in Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir, Ankara and Kirsehir. The report did not give the status of the other seven suspects. Officers also searched suspects’ addresses and carried out seizures.

The gendarmerie said officers seized 14 vehicles, four homes and two plots of land. Its total of 367 frozen accounts includes both bank and crypto asset accounts, without a separate count for each group. It did not say how many distinct account holders or independently controlled [blockchain wallets](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/crypto-wallet) were affected.

Authorities have not explained how customers will access their accounts after the TMSF transfer, what will happen to pending withdrawals or when any repayments might be made. The statements reviewed do not report completed customer reimbursements.

## TRY 4.3 billion entered accounts since 2023

The gendarmerie reported that TRY 4.301 billion entered the company’s accounts and TRY 3.990 billion left them from 2023 onward. The figures are totals for the period reviewed. The gendarmerie gave no precise amount established as criminal proceeds.

Account movements reported in the gendarmerie’s November 3 statement, in Turkish lira.
| Movement examined | Total since 2023 |
|---|---|
| Money entering accounts | TRY 4.301 billion |
| Money leaving accounts | TRY 3.990 billion |

The same money can appear in several transfers, so adding inflows and outflows would not measure customer losses. Their difference cannot be treated as the company’s currently available balance either. Authorities have not disclosed the present value of the frozen accounts or how much customers have lost.

The gendarmerie alleges that suspects sent money collected through payment and electronic money institutions and bank accounts to crypto asset platforms. Investigators believe the suspects converted it into crypto and transferred it onward to conceal its origin. They did not identify the tokens, blockchain networks or [transfer addresses](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/wallet-address) used.

## Transfers through two software companies

The [prosecutor’s statement reported by Cumhuriyet](https://www.cumhuriyet.com.tr/turkiye/son-dakika-kripto-platformuna-5-ilde-operasyon-4-3-milyar-tl-lik-para-trafigi-mercek-altinda-2552706) says investigators identified 639 individuals who sent money to the company’s accounts. Many were already subject to investigations or prosecutions involving illegal betting or fraud, prosecutors said. They were not listed as 639 detainees or convicted offenders, and prosecutors did not describe them as the platform’s entire customer base.

Prosecutors are also examining links between the platform, BCT Yazılım and a second software company. DHA names the latter Liquid Yazılım, while Cumhuriyet renders the name as Luquıd Yazılım; both report that it was established at BCT’s address. The statement identifies Tolga Altay as BCT’s former representative and Mustafa Uslular, also a crypto platform employee, as its latest representative.

Prosecutors say BCT sent TRY 479 million received from Nkolay, İQ Money and Elekse to the crypto platform through virtual POS collections. The second software company allegedly transferred TRY 449 million received from the same payment institutions in a similar way. Authorities did not say these amounts were additional to the TRY 4.301 billion total inflow; adding them together could count the same funds again.

Prosecutors named the payment institutions when describing the money’s route; they did not report a finding that every institution had committed an offence. The reports reviewed contain neither a response from the suspects or company nor a final court judgment.
