## Key takeaways

- The event began after maintenance on October 13.
- The skins change card appearances without adding combat power.
- The November 6 closing date applies only to the Glint Shop sale.

The Halloween collection is already on sale in the shops. Chests and Frontier rewards have 900 copies allocated, while the 13 skins sold for Glint have no fixed supply cap during the sale.

[Blockchain](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/blockchain) card game Splinterlands will add its Hallow’s Fall 2026 skins to reward chests when the next season starts on October 15. According to the [official event announcement](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/hallows-fall-2026-a-fresh-fright-for-the-battlefield), shop sales opened on October 13, two days before chest rewards begin.

The collection consists of 20 Spooky designs, 20 Haunted designs and three skins sold separately. All 43 are cosmetic. A skin can be used across the supported foils of its matching character that a player owns, without a separate purchase for each foil.

## Shop sales have a deadline; chest rewards have a supply limit

The Glint Shop is selling 13 Spooky skins through November 6. Prices depend on the underlying card’s rarity: 500 Glint for Common, 2,500 for Rare, 8,000 for Epic and 20,000 for Legendary. There is no fixed mint cap while the sale runs; production ends when it closes.

Each Haunted design has a limit of 10 copies. Minor Chests have 80 Haunted copies allocated and Major Chests have 70. Ultimate Chests will contain 500 Spooky and 50 Haunted copies across five characters. Another 200 Spooky copies are allocated to Frontier jackpots, bringing the combined chest and jackpot supply to 900.

The announced skin drop rates are 1% for Minor Chests, 2% for Major and 3% for Ultimate. A chest is therefore not guaranteed to contain a skin. Once a design’s allocated copies run out, it will be removed from the reward pool.

**Chest rewards do not end on November 6.** Remaining chest and jackpot skins will stay in their pools until their supplies are exhausted, even after the Glint Shop sale closes.

Splinterlands’ official October 12 X post lists separate dates for the shop launch and the introduction of chest rewards.

## Three skins are sold separately for Sparks and DEC

Little Sister is available in the Sparks Shop for 20,000 Sparks. In the Rewards Shop, Bellowmancer costs 5,000 DEC and Calamity costs 15,000 DEC. Each has 50 copies available. The 150 copies offered for sale are separate from the 900 allocated to chests and jackpots.

The developer says proceeds from the DEC skin sales go to the [DAO](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/dao). Five Halloween stickers are also on sale at 200 DEC each.

## The season change also raises the Modern winnings cap

The [October 13 release notes](https://docs.splinterlands.com/platform/release-notes/2026#id-2026-10-13) say the cap on [Modern Bracket](https://kriptometa.com/en/splinterlands-modern-six-brackets-season-card-locks) winnings will rise from 2% to 4% at the start of October’s second season. The change will affect the SPS distribution at the end of the month. A higher cap does not mean every player’s reward will double.
