## Key takeaways

- DefiLlama’s October 3 reading shows a $126.17 million increase over seven days.
- RLUSD represents 93.07% of stablecoin value on the XRP Ledger.
- Supply growth does not directly measure payment volume or buying demand for XRP.

Ripple USD accounts for most of the stablecoin expansion on the XRP Ledger. The network remains above $1.3 billion, although the latest growth rate differs from the figure circulated earlier in the day.

The dollar value of [stablecoins](https://kriptometa.com/en/glossary/stablecoin) on the XRP Ledger remains above $1.3 billion. [DefiLlama’s XRPL dashboard](https://defillama.com/stablecoins/xrpl) showed $1.319 billion when checked at 17:44 UTC on October 3, with a seven-day increase of 10.58%. That amounts to $126.17 million of growth over the week.

BSCN had shared a higher weekly rate of 14.57% earlier in the day. By the later reading, the weekly rate had eased to 10.58%, while the network’s total remained above $1.3 billion. The post and the updated dashboard capture different points in time.

## RLUSD dominates the network’s stablecoins

The distribution is heavily concentrated in Ripple USD. RLUSD accounts for about $1.227 billion on XRPL, or 93.07% of the network’s stablecoin value. Its supply on the ledger grew 11.48% over seven days, while the other large holdings did not show a similar increase.

October 3, 2026, 17:44 UTC — DefiLlama; four largest stablecoins on XRPL
| Stablecoin | Value on XRPL, in USD | 7-day change |
|---|---|---|
| Ripple USD (RLUSD) | $1.227 billion | +11.48% |
| Valtorum USD (USDV) | $72.77 million | 0% |
| EUR CoinVertible (EURCV) | $11.24 million | −1.25% |
| USD Coin (USDC) | $4.61 million | −0.07% |

The table covers the four largest entries in DefiLlama’s October 3 reading; smaller stablecoins also contribute to the network total. Values are expressed in dollars for comparison. EURCV tracks the euro, so a dollar-denominated table does not mean every asset in it is pegged to the U.S. currency.

[RLUSD’s total across tracked networks](https://defillama.com/stablecoin/ripple-usd) stands at about $2.504 billion. Adding the $1.227 billion on XRPL to that figure would count the same supply twice. Its total on tracked networks and the portion circulating on this ledger answer different questions.

## More supply does not establish more payments

[Ripple positions RLUSD](https://ripple.com/products/stablecoin/) for payments, trading and collateral use. The company says it is backed one-for-one by cash, U.S. Treasuries and government money market funds. Reserve composition, however, does not tell readers how frequently the token is used.

**$1.319 billion is not a payment-volume figure.** It measures the value of stablecoins held on the network. Growth alone does not establish an equal amount of commercial payments or equivalent buying pressure on the [XRP price](https://kriptometa.com/en/markets/xrp).

[XRPL’s documentation](https://xrpl.org/docs/concepts/tokens) distinguishes XRP from tokens issued on the ledger. Stablecoins can represent assets held elsewhere, while XRP is used for account reserves and transaction fees. The relationship between larger stablecoin balances and demand for the native asset needs to be measured separately.

Future readings will show whether other issuers gain share alongside RLUSD and how usage develops. For holders, [reserve, redemption and liquidity checks](https://kriptometa.com/en/stablecoin-risks-checklist) remain relevant even as aggregate supply grows. We cover further issuance and payment developments in our [stablecoin news](https://kriptometa.com/en/news/stablecoin) section.
