What is CoinGlass? A derivatives data platform explained

Added:

CoinGlass is a data and analytics platform for comparing cryptocurrency markets across exchanges. Its indicators include open interest, funding, trading volume and reported liquidations. The data dashboard is not itself the exchange where a reader deposits funds and opens a position; trading links may lead to separate services.

Example

A reader comparing Bitcoin funding sees two venues in one table. Hypothetical rates of 0.01% and 0.005% do not by themselves prove the second venue is cheaper. The collateral type, covered interval and whether each figure is estimated or settled must match. Once those conditions align, the table makes comparisons easier without switching between several exchange screens.

An aggregate market total differs from one exchange or contract. A modeled liquidation heatmap also differs from a record of completed forced closures. Charts can provide a research starting point, but they do not supply a certain price target or a safety guarantee.
