From risk budget to position size
Risk = balance × risk % / 100; Quantity = risk / |entry − stop|; Reward/risk = |target − entry| / |entry − stop|
A worked example
1% of a $10,000 balance is $100. Entry $100, stop $95 and target $110 imply 20 units, a $2,000 position and 2:1 reward/risk.
