Ahead of Allbridge ending its Stacks connection, Zest has set a deadline for aeUSDC loans and deposits in its legacy market. The single-transaction move to V2 excludes aeUSDC balances.
Zest Protocol will close the remaining aeUSDC positions on Stacks Market V1 on October 23, 2026. In its October 13 announcement, the protocol asked users to repay aeUSDC loans, withdraw their balances and move to Stacks Market V2, which supports USDCx.
The timetable follows Allbridge’s planned shutdown of its aeUSDC bridge to Stacks. According to Zest, the bridge will close on November 3. Positions in Zest’s market will close 11 days earlier, making October 23 the relevant deadline for users with outstanding aeUSDC loans or deposits.
aeUSDC is excluded from the one-transaction migration
Zest’s migration guide, updated on October 2, describes an in-app option that lets users move existing V1 positions to V2 in a single transaction. aeUSDC is excluded because the new market supports USDCx, a USDC-backed stablecoin, in its place.
aeUSDC balances do not automatically become USDCx. Zest’s documented route is to withdraw aeUSDC from V1, swap it for USDCx through Bitflow and then deposit USDCx into V2.
Stacks’ token migration documentation describes aeUSDC as a bridged form of USDC managed by Allbridge. First introduced in 2023, it is being phased out in favor of USDCx. The documentation says new aeUSDC minting is disabled and only the outbound bridge route from Stacks to Ethereum remains enabled.
Loans must be repaid before related collateral can be withdrawn
The V1 withdrawal rules state that an active borrowing position must be fully repaid before its associated supplied assets can be withdrawn. For lenders, the withdrawable balance includes the original deposit and accrued yield.
Zest says remaining aeUSDC supply and loans on V1 will be closed out. It has not specified how accounts that miss the deadline will be handled, what conversion price would apply or whether any charges would be imposed.
