US spot Bitcoin ETFs returned to net outflows on Friday after a small inflow the previous day. Farside data show withdrawals on three of the week’s five trading days.
US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows of $82.4 million on Friday, October 16. BlackRock’s IBIT led the withdrawals with $71.8 million, according to Farside Investors’ fund flow table. Fidelity’s FBTC accounted for the remaining $10.6 million.
The other ten products in the table recorded zero net flows. IBIT represented about 87% of the day’s outflow. The figures identify net movements by fund, but do not disclose which investors withdrew money or why they did so.
Wednesday brought the week’s largest outflow
The five sessions from October 12 to 16 add up to $228.4 million in net Bitcoin ETF outflows. Wednesday’s $261.4 million withdrawal was the largest of the week.
| Trading session | Net flow |

| October 12, 2026 | −65.4 |
| October 13, 2026 | +175.7 |
| October 14, 2026 | −261.4 |
| October 15, 2026 | +5.1 |
| October 16, 2026 | −82.4 |
| Weekly total | −228.4 |
The funds lost $678.9 million in the preceding week, which included October 7’s $484.9 million outflow. Net withdrawals in October 12–16 were $450.5 million lower. IBIT lost a net $165.4 million over October 12–16 and FBTC lost $60.2 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT took in $6.7 million and Bitwise’s BITB received $2.2 million.
Reading the figures: Positive values indicate net inflows and negative values indicate net outflows. Fund flows are a different measure from the trading volume of shares changing hands on an exchange. Weekly totals were calculated from Farside’s published daily figures, rounded to millions of dollars.
Combined Bitcoin and Ether outflows reached $152.1 million
Farside’s Ether ETF table records net withdrawals of $69.7 million for the same Friday session. The entire amount came from BlackRock’s ETHA, with the other products recording zero net flows. The combined daily withdrawal from Bitcoin and Ether funds reached $152.1 million.
Ether ETFs ended October 12–16 with $320.1 million in net outflows, taking the two asset groups’ weekly total to $548.5 million. Those figures cover US spot funds; they are not a total for all crypto investment products worldwide.
Cumulative net inflows into Bitcoin funds since launch stand at $56.949 billion in Farside’s table. That total is not assets under management, which measures the current market value of the portfolios. Farside says its table is generated automatically and cautions that the data may contain errors or be revised.
