What is SafePal?

Added:
Updated:

SafePal is a family of software and hardware products for managing crypto through self-custody. Its mobile app can use a software account or work with supported hardware. The application displaying a balance and the location of the keys signing a transaction are not necessarily the same.

The app, the device and SFP

S1 and X1 are physical wallet models, not mobile applications. SFP is an ecosystem token. Acquiring the token does not buy a device or move keys into hardware. The underlying custody relationship is explained in the crypto-wallet definition.

Example

Alex creates a software wallet in the SafePal app and receives 25 USDT on a supported network. A send is authorized through that software account. Jamie instead pairs an S1 account with the app and signs using the separate device. They use the same app brand but have different key-storage and approval arrangements. Alex buying an S1 later does not automatically move the old software account’s keys offline.

Each transfer still requires checking the asset, network, recipient and cost. A physical confirmation requirement cannot completely prevent a user from signing the wrong transaction.

The SafePal review examines how the app, device and service provider affect the choice, with interface examples, a cost calculation and a security assessment.
