Key takeaways

  • Sophon set November 25 as the withdrawal deadline and November 30, 2026 as the final mainnet shutdown date.
  • Liquid SOPH, ETH, USDC and other mainnet balances, along with outstanding rewards, need to be checked through official pages.
  • The team warns that assets left on the network after the deadline could become permanently inaccessible.

Sophon has published the final timetable for closing its mainnet. Users should not wait for the shutdown date to withdraw; liquid balances and staking or Guardian rights moved to Ethereum require different treatment.

Sophon said in its October 19 announcement that it plans to shut down its mainnet fully on November 30, 2026. The deadline for users to withdraw assets is November 25. Key infrastructure and websites will begin closing after November 25. Withdrawal channels may therefore become unavailable before the mainnet shuts down on November 30.

The team warns that assets left on the network after the deadline risk becoming permanently inaccessible. It did not specify a cutoff time or time zone for the final withdrawal day, or a schedule for each website to close.

“Nov 25 is the date to act, not Nov 30.”

Which assets require action?

For liquid SOPH, ETH, USDC and other balances on Sophon, the team points users to its official asset management and withdrawal page. It also asks users to claim outstanding staking or Guardian rewards. Assets still held in the Sophon farming program are handled through the separate official farm page.

According to the migration guide, SOPH’s native token is already on Ethereum; the version on Sophon is a bridged representation. Closing the network does not require every SOPH holder to swap into a replacement token. Whether a withdrawal is needed depends on which network holds the SOPH balance.

Asset distinctions in the official migration guide and current claim page
Asset or entitlementAnnounced treatment
Liquid SOPH on SophonWithdraw off the network using the option on the official page.
ETH, USDC and other assets on SophonWithdraw to a supported network according to the asset and available route.
vSOPH and staked SOPHThe guide provides for automatic migration to Ethereum; unlocked or outstanding claims still need separate checking.
Guardian NFTsThe current page says they have been recreated in the same wallets on Ethereum; outstanding rewards are separate.
Farm balancesWithdraw unclaimed assets through the separate official farm page.

The guide records that new Ethereum-to-Sophon deposits were disabled from June 25 and Sophon was removed from LayerZero’s supported networks. It says withdrawals from Sophon to Ethereum through the canonical bridge would remain open. Jumper routes shown for other assets depend on the asset and available liquidity; there is no single route, fee or completion time covering every balance.

Guardian and staking rights moved to Ethereum

The current claim page says remaining node-holder rewards became claimable as vSOPH on Ethereum from September 29, 2026 at 00:00 UTC. The new vesting period starts where vesting on Sophon ends. The page also says Guardian NFTs have been recreated in the same Ethereum wallets; users are not being asked to buy a new NFT.

The technical migration documentation says Guardian rewards keep their original schedule without requiring users to run node software or delegate. According to the claim page, transferring a Guardian NFT also moves its proportional share of unvested vSOPH to the new wallet. Other liquid assets on Sophon do not migrate automatically alongside Guardian and staking rights; holders need to withdraw them separately.

The new announcement supersedes the guide’s earlier timetable. Migration documents still say there is no fixed shutdown date and point to late 2026. The October 19 announcement subsequently set November 25 for withdrawals and November 30 for shutdown. It promises neither a recovery option after the deadline nor an extension.

Product development continues as the mainnet closes

Sophon plans to continue product development after the mainnet shuts down. Official documents say its applications will be built on Base, while the current company website describes a shift toward consumer finance and AI products. The Pyre payment card is still presented as “coming soon.”

The team asks users to rely on official links and watch for fake migration websites. Addresses offered for withdrawals or reward claims should match the links in Sophon’s own announcement and website.
