Ethereum holders have a new route into Aave App. The stablecoin deposit update comes with an access code for waitlisted users, but does not amount to a general release across all platforms.
Aave has added USDC and USDT deposits from Ethereum to its mobile app. Announced on September 28, the update gives users holding either stablecoin on Ethereum a new way to move funds into Aave App. The announcement also provides a Ghost Pass code, “ETHEREUM”, for people on the waitlist.
The change concerns the app’s funding options. It does not mean USDC and USDT have only just become available on the Aave lending protocol. The network matters here as much as the asset: Aave’s announcement specifically names deposits from Ethereum, rather than offering blanket support for transfers on every chain.

An access code, not a release on every platform
Aave says the Ghost Pass code gives waitlisted users instant access. The post does not specify an expiry date, a limit on the number of users or a country list. Its availability should therefore not be read as confirmation that the app is generally available in every market and on every device.
The official product page reviewed by KriptoMeta offers early access on iOS, while directing Android and web users to a waitlist. Ethereum deposit support and the rollout of the app across platforms are separate developments. The announcement also gives no user count or amount deposited through the new route.
The app balance is not a bank deposit
Aave App supplies funds to Aave’s lending markets. Borrowers post collateral worth more than the amount they borrow, and the interest they pay flows back to those supplying funds. The mobile app packages that mechanism into a simpler savings experience. The latest update makes Ethereum-held stablecoins another entry point into it.
Access is separate from protection. Aave says it is not a bank and that yields are variable. Its Balance Protection applies only to eligible balances under specified conditions; the product page explicitly says it is not insurance.
Within DeFi, Aave’s recent product announcements serve different sides of the market. Its earlier addition of stock tokens as collateral for USDC loans on Base concerned borrowers. Ethereum stablecoin deposits into the mobile app widen the funding route for users supplying money. They should not be treated as a single launch or as interchangeable features.
