Datai Network has opened distribution of 400,000 DATAI to eligible DATUM campaign wallets. The Sablier campaign on BNB Chain closes on November 22. The team excluded addresses that failed task or score requirements and groups it identified as acting together.
Datai Network said on October 22 that 942 eligible DATUM campaign wallets could claim their DATAI tokens. The public Sablier campaign lists 400,000 DATAI for distribution on BNB Chain and a November 22, 2026 deadline. Allocations are limited to wallet addresses selected from earlier campaign participants.
In its opening announcement, the project said a temporary Sablier interface glitch had been fixed and 108 claims had already been completed. At the October 23 check, the campaign showed 149 addresses had claimed about 64,230 DATAI, with 335,770 DATAI still in the contract awaiting claims. The announcement’s 108 claims and the later screen’s 149 addresses were recorded at different times.
Datai’s October 22 announcement, posted at 13:54 UTC, confirms claims are open and provides separate links for the DATUM airdrop and investor, partner and team token unlocks.

How more than 84,000 participants became 942 eligible wallets
According to Datai’s October 20 announcement, the team assessed participants in DATUM Phase 1, Crunchie, and Phase 2, BNB Wallet Score, using an October 10, 2026 snapshot. They needed at least one completed quest, a linked X or Discord account and at least 1,650 DATUM points after screening. Connecting a wallet or earning points alone was insufficient.
The project’s GitHub document describes each screening stage, beginning with 84,179 wallets. The team set a cap of 1,000 wallets; 942 addresses met the 1,650-point threshold. According to the document, it reserved the remaining places for successful appeals.
| Requirement | Wallets remaining |
|---|---|
| All campaign participants | 84,179 |
| At least one completed quest | 36,789 |
| Linked X or Discord account | 36,735 |
| Outside synchronised wallet groups | 31,663 |
| At least 1,650 DATUM; eligible | 942 |
Datai says it examined timestamps for more than 750,000 campaign actions to screen for Sybil activity, in which one participant uses multiple accounts to seek allocations. The team reported finding 769 groups acting in the same minutes across successive days and finishing with near-identical scores. Some groups also used templated display names and accounts created minutes apart, it said.
Datai calculated that its records contained 74 times as many synchronised wallet pairs as versions with randomly reassigned timestamps. The team excluded 5,828 wallets in the identified groups. Since 756 of those addresses had already failed the quest or social-account requirements, that screening stage removed another 5,072. The group classifications and screening figures come from the project’s own analysis.
400,000 DATAI allocated using the square root of scores
Datai calculated each wallet’s allocation weight by taking the square root of its DATUM score. Higher scores produce larger allocations, but tokens do not increase in direct proportion to points. In a hypothetical comparison explaining the method, a wallet with 6,600 points has twice the weight of one with 1,650 points, rather than four times. Actual token amounts depend on the weights of all eligible wallets.
Allocations in the published v1 list range from 397 to 865 DATAI. Amounts are rounded to whole tokens, with the remainder assigned to addresses suffering the largest rounding losses until the total reaches exactly 400,000. The document says no wallet differs from its exact calculated share by more than one token. A CSV containing addresses and allocations is public, alongside a SHA-256 fingerprint for checking changes to the file.
The public Sablier screen labels the distribution “Instant”: tokens transfer directly to the recipient’s address. DATUM recipients receive their allocation in a single claim. Investor, partner and team tokens follow separate vesting and unlock schedules.
The claim fee is paid in BNB
At the October 23 check, the campaign displayed a claim fee of $1.99 payable in BNB. Sablier’s fee documentation says its airdrop interface fee is dynamic and currently reaches up to $1.99. The BNB amount shown when a recipient claims may change with the dynamic fee.
The interface fee and blockchain gas are separate charges. Sablier says the interface charge is paid in the network’s native token and added to the transaction fee. Claiming on BNB Chain requires BNB. Sablier also lets campaign creators cover the interface charge. The Datai screen displayed a recipient charge when checked. The BNB paid by a recipient is a cost separate from the DATAI allocation.
Sablier’s instant-airdrop tutorial dated May 20, 2025 covers claiming in the section beginning at 1:19. The older video explains how a recipient uses the claim screen. Datai’s eligibility list comes from its GitHub document, while the current closing date and fee appear on the campaign screen described above.
Claims end November 22; appeal dates conflict
The current X announcement and Sablier campaign both give November 22, 2026 as the claim deadline. The X announcement’s “30 days” does not exactly match the October 22–November 22 dates displayed by the campaign. According to the GitHub document, Datai plans to return unclaimed tokens to its treasury on November 23.
The same GitHub file gives conflicting appeal deadlines: November 22 in the opening table and October 22 in the appeal section. It still labels the list “v1 — pre-appeals” and says the claim link will be added later. The conflicting entries leave the actual appeal deadline unconfirmed. The team says it will review appeals individually, grant at most one allocation per synchronised group and treat its decisions as final.
On its own website, Datai describes its product as a layer that labels blockchain records and turns them into data for applications and AI systems. DATUM was the project’s earlier participation campaign. The claim page opened on October 22 serves addresses selected from those participants; completing new tasks today does not establish eligibility.
